HERLONG RECREATIONAL AIRPORT APRON RECONSTRUCTION
This project includes: The rehabilitation of the transient apron at Herlong Recreational Airport (HEG). The transient apron will be reconstructed adjacent to Taxiway Alpha on the south side of the Terminal Building. Elements of the project include removal and replacement of the asphalt pavement of approximately 4000 square yards, site grading and preparation and striping of the apron.
There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held in the Herlong Conference Room at 9300 Normandy Blvd., Building 4, Jacksonville, Florida 32221, at 10:00 AM on March 18th, 2025.
Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. Contract Bonding shall also be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. The Authority has determined that Seven percent (7%) DBE participation goal will be prescribed for this project. As a good corporate citizen, JAA fully supports the usage of DBE on JAA projects. We encourage our business partners to maximize the utilization of DBEs at every opportunity.
This project will be bid as a single contract. Bid prices may be held for up to 120 days. All bids must be submitted in accordance with Project Manual for Contract No. C-878 which may be examined in the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administration Building Office, or obtained from:
